The hardest part about cleaning blinds is getting them down and back up again. It’s a task best left to the professionals, but if you need to do it yourself, here’s how:
- First, make sure your blinds are clean by wiping them with a damp cloth. If there are stains or marks on them, use rubbing alcohol and let it soak into the fabric for a few minutes before wiping away with another clean cloth.
- Next, fold up the top of your blinds so they’re out of the way while you’re working on the rest of this task.
- Take one end of your blinds in each hand and pull down as far as possible without bending over too much (or standing on top of something). This will give you access to all sides of each slat so you can wipe them down from top to bottom with a sponge or rag dipped in warm water (or a solution made up of equal parts white vinegar and water). Dry thoroughly before putting everything back together again!
